American Legion Post 307 consists of three distinct organizations working together to serve veterans, their families, and our community.

American Legion

For veterans who served honorably during wartime periods as defined by Congress and who were discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.

Eligibility & Enlistment

Review the requirements for each organization

To be eligible for membership in The American Legion, you must:

  • Have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941
  • Be honorably discharged or still serving honorably
  • Have served during one of the eligible war periods established by Congress
  • Meet age and citizenship requirements

To be eligible for membership in the Sons of The American Legion, you must be:

  • A male descendant of a member of The American Legion
  • A male descendant of a veteran eligible for American Legion membership
  • A stepson or adopted son of an eligible veteran or Legion member
  • Committed to carrying forward the Legion's mission and values

To be eligible for membership in the American Legion Auxiliary, you must be:

  • Wife, widow, stepmother, mother, or grandmother of an eligible veteran
  • Sister, half-sister, or daughter of an eligible veteran
  • Granddaughter, great-granddaughter, or stepchild of an eligible veteran
  • A female veteran eligible for American Legion membership
